Basque

A basque is a sleeveless and strapless top very similar to a bustier, except it is longer and usually covers the waistline. Modern basques are contouring items that emphasizes the bust by pushing the bosom upwards, but it lacks the form-molding properties of a genuine corset. Instead these items often feature decorative front and / or back lace-up details. Adepts of the romantic movement within the gothic scene are very fond of these clothes.
